As Mexico’s pioneering PGA TOUR event with 18 years of proud history and tradition, the World Wide Technology Championship is a window for the world to see and experience the magic of Mexico as well as its successful and ever-growing golf culture. Our mission is to deliver an exceptional event experience for all participants, constituents, stakeholders and attendees while celebrating Mexico and Los Cabos and showcasing our local culture and flavor.

We are also committed to supporting local, national and international charities by donating significant funds and raising awareness for selected charities. In the event’s history, more than $3 million dollars of donations have been generated for philanthropic causes.

This year, the tournament will once again support many wonderful charities. Tournament week saw a number of special activations, including the Oasis Short-Am benefitting The First Tee of Diamante.
2024 Recap

The 2024 World Wide Technology Championship concluded with a thrilling finish on the Tiger Woods-designed course, El Cardonal at Diamante, in Los Cabos. Austin Eckroat emerged victorious, securing his second PGA TOUR win of the season with an impressive final-round 63 that included a remarkable 11 birdies. This win follows his triumph at the Cognizant Classic earlier in the year, and the 25-year-old Oklahoma native now joins the ranks of multiple TOUR winners this season.

Eckroat’s steady play across four rounds (68-67-66-63--264) brought him to a winning total of 24-under, clinching the title by just one shot. Justin Lower kept the pressure on, making a spectacular eagle on the 18th to finish the day 7-under and claim second place at -23, alongside Carson Young, who closed with a birdie on 18.

Eckroat’s connection to Los Cabos goes beyond this week—he also won the Cabo Collegiate as a sophomore at Oklahoma State, and he was thrilled to add this tournament to his record.

“I guess I just love the area,” he said. “This is one of my favorite places in the world, if not my favorite. And now to have two wins, I think that might solidify it as the new favorite for me. Yeah, to have two wins in Cabo, I don't know if anywhere else besides Oklahoma has more than one win for me.”
