Top Golfers Set to Compete in the
2024 World Wide Technology Championship

The 2024 World Wide Technology Championship is finally here, bringing an impressive field of past champions, rising stars, and international talents to Los Cabos to compete this Thursday through Sunday. Here’s a quick preview:
  • Past Champions
    Defending champion Erik van Rooyen returns to compete, joined by former champions Matt Kuchar (2018), Patton Kizzire (2017), Charley Hoffman (2014), and Harris English (2013).
  • International Talent
    With 32 international players from 18 countries, this year’s field is truly global. The Latin American contingent is especially strong, featuring Colombia's Camilo Villegas, last year’s runner-up, and Nico Echavarria, recent winner of the Zozo Championship. Venezuela’s Jhonattan Vegas, who won the 3M Open earlier this season, also joins the field. Mexico’s representatives include Santiago De La Fuente (Ocotlán) and Isidro Benitez (Puebla), who qualified last month, as well as Omar Morales (Puebla), UCLA senior, Emilio Gonzalez (San Miguel de Allende), and recent Bajio Open champion Raul Pereda (Cordoba). Argentina’s Alejandro Tosti completes the Latin American lineup.
  • Champions and Major Winners
    Among the 120 players in the field, there are 112 combined PGA TOUR wins. Matt Kuchar leads with nine titles, while Major Champions Danny Willett (2016 Masters) and Lucas Glover (2009 U.S. Open) join Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald. Additionally, 22 players have PGA TOUR wins in the past two years, with five claiming victories in 2024.
  • Cabo Collegiate Alumni
    The field also includes 24 alumni of the prestigious Cabo Collegiate event, such as Nico Echavarria, Austin Eckroat, Doug Ghim, Will Gordon, Harry Higgs, Kelly Kraft, Maverick McNealy, Robby Shelton, Austin Smotherman, Brandon Wu, Cameron Young, and Carl Yuan.

Spectator Etiquette & Restrictions
To ensure an enjoyable experience for all attendees, we kindly ask spectators to follow proper golf etiquette and adhere to tournament policies. Here are a few key guidelines:
  • Prohibited Items:
    To maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, please note that certain items, including backpacks, coolers, and cameras, are prohibited on tournament grounds. For a complete list of permitted and prohibited items, click here.
  • Mobile Devices:
    Mobile devices ARE permitted at the World Wide Technology Championship but are subject to specific restrictions. Failure to comply with these rules may result in confiscation of your device or removal from the tournament grounds.

Directions to General Parking
From Downtown Cabo San Lucas or El Tezal:
  • Take “Carretera Federal Cabo San Lucas – La Paz” toward Todos Santos.
  • Turn left onto “Paseo Acceso a Diamante” (about 300 meters past the Municipal Police Station).
  • Continue for 1.2 km to a T-intersection, turn right, and follow for 2.8 km to the General Parking Lot after passing the Diamante Main Gate.
From the San Jose del Cabo Toll Road or Todos Santos:
  • Turn right onto "Camino Acceso a Diamante" and follow the same directions as above.
Parking Lot Information
  • Opening Hours:
    General Parking opens daily at 6:00 AM.
  • Price:
    $100.00 MXN.
  • Shuttle Service:
    Continuous shuttles will run from the General Parking Lot to the Tournament Main Entrance.
Complimentary Spectator Shuttle
From Plaza Pioneros


The WWT Championship is excited to offer a complimentary shuttle service for tournament spectators from Plaza Pioneros (Hotel Medano) to the tournament main entrance. Plaza Pioneros will also provide a discounted parking rate for those choosing to leave their vehicle. Shuttle service will operate according to the following schedule:

Thursday & Friday:
  • Plaza Pioneros to Diamante: 8:00 AM & 11:00 AM
  • Diamante to Plaza Pioneros: 5:00 PM & 7:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday:
  • Plaza Pioneros to Diamante: 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m.
  • Diamante to Plaza Pioneros: 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m.
Taxi and Rideshare Drop-Off

If you are arriving by taxi or rideshare, please instruct your driver to take you to “Diamante Cabo San Lucas.” After arriving, follow the signs to “General Parking & Taxi/Rideshare Drop-Off,” where your driver can leave you. From there, you can take our complimentary continuous-loop shuttle from the General Parking Lot to the Tournament Main Entrance.
