Moving Day at the World Wide Technology Championship saw thrilling rounds and shifting positions at the top of the leaderboard. Colombia’s Nico Echavarria carded a solid 4-under 68, maintaining his share of the lead at -16. He’s tied with Justin Lower, who recorded a flawless, bogey-free 9-under 63, matching his career-best 18-hole score on TOUR (first set during Round 1 of the 2022 Procore Championship, where he finished T4).
Echavarria is aiming to become the tournament’s fourth international winner, joining Graeme McDowell (2015), Viktor Hovland (2020 & 2021), and Erik van Rooyen (2023) on the champions list.
Carson Young, who also posted a 5-under round, joins Echavarria and Lower in the three-way tie for the lead at -16. Max Greyserman sits one shot back after a 3-under day, tied for fourth with Austin Eckroat and Joe Highsmith at -15.
Maverick McNealy closed his round with an exciting eagle on the 18th, finishing with a 6-under 66 to position himself two shots behind the leaders at -14, tied with Ben Griffin in seventh place.
With the leaderboard tightly packed, tomorrow’s final round promises plenty of action as the contenders battle it out for the championship.
