After three days of intense competition at El Cardonal, we are excited to announce the champions of the Clasificatorio Mexicano presented by National Car Rental and the Mexico Match Play, both of whom have earned their spots in the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship.
First, congratulations to Santiago De La Fuente from Ocotlán, JAL, who dominated the field at the Clasificatorio Mexicano, finishing -11 and winning the 27-hole event by an impressive 7 strokes, earning a well-deserved exemption to the WWT Championship.
Isidro Benitez from Puebla, PUE, will also compete alongside the world’s best in November, thanks to his victory in the Mexico Match Play. After advancing from the Clasificatorio Mexicano, Benitez battled through four rounds of direct elimination, ultimately defeating Enrique José Karg from Guadalajara, JAL, in a tightly contested final, winning 2&1.
