Two exciting days at El Cardonal determined the golfers who will represent Mexico at this year’s World Wide Technology Championship.
Congratulations to Emilio Gil Leyva from Sinaloa, who claimed victory at the Clasificatorio Mexicano presented by National Car Rental on Sunday, October 5. The amateur golfer topped a field of more than 50 competitors to earn his coveted spot in the World Wide Technology Championship.
The top 16 players then faced off in the Mexico Match Play, where four rounds of head-to-head elimination decided the second exemption. Alejandro Madariaga from Puebla ultimately triumphed over José Islas from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, earning his invitation to join the field at the WWT Championship.
