In its third year in Los Cabos, the event will also welcome past champions Patton Kizzire, Matt Kuchar and Erik van Rooyen, joining 2024 champion Austin Eckroat
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Los Cabos, Mexico (October 14, 2025) – Tournament officials announced today more player commitments that include PGA TOUR players from Latin America and Canada, as well as three more past champions for the 2025 edition of the World Wide Technology Championship, which is slated for November 6-9 in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Among the commitments: Nico Echavarria and Camilo Villegas of Colombia, Emiliano Grillo of Argentina, Rafa Campos of Puerto Rico as well as Nick Taylor, Mackenzie Hughes and Adam Hadwin of Canada. Additional past champions now confirmed for the event include Patton Kizzire (2017), Matt Kuchar (2018) and Erik van Rooyen (2023).
“The international nature of the PGA TOUR will be on full display during this year’s event,” said Joe Mazzeo, Tournament Director. “We invite everyone in Los Cabos to join us during tournament week to cheer on their favorite players from around the world.”
Echavarria, who finished tied for sixth place in Los Cabos last year, owns two career titles on the TOUR and competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. His fellow Colombian Villegas was runner-up in 2023 during the event’s first year at Diamante. Villegas has five career wins on TOUR and has competed in nine WWT Championships. Grillo has two wins on the PGA TOUR and he has three top 10 finishes in eight career starts at the WWT Championship. Campos, who will be making his fourth start in the tournament, captured his first TOUR title last year at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Taylor, Hughes and Hadwin are the three players currently in the field representing Canada. Taylor is ranked #41 in the Official World Golf Ranking and boasts five career PGA TOUR wins, including this year at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Hughes, who has a pair of TOUR career wins, has played in the tournament five times with his best finish a T7 in 2023. Hadwin, who owns one career TOUR victory, has competed in the tournament seven times with his best finishes a T7 (2017) and a T10 (2019). All three players have been members of the International Team in the Presidents Cup competition.
Joining defending champion Austin Eckroat are past champions Patton Kizzire (2017), Matt Kuchar (2018) and Erik van Rooyen (2023).
Last month tournament officials announced commitments from J.J. Spaun (World No. 6), Ben Griffin (World No. 12), victorious European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and six-time TOUR winner Tony Finau.
The PGA TOUR, which showcases the world’s best golfers competing on iconic courses, will gather a field of 120 players in a 72-hole, stroke-play event awarding 500 FedExCup points.
Diamante once again serves as the home and host venue for the WWT Championship, Mexico’s longest-running and most successful PGA TOUR tournament. The host course El Cardonal, opened in 2014, is the first golf course designed by 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods and TGR Design.
All four rounds will be televised globally through the PGA TOUR’s extensive worldwide television distribution network, including Golf Channel in the United States and Golf Channel Latin America in Mexico and throughout Latin America. Internationally, PGA TOUR coverage is available across more than 200 countries and territories in 26 languages via 44 broadcast and digital partners.
