Q. It looks like all the boxes were checked, fairway, quality iron shots, pay it off with a putter. It's a nice easy start.
SCOTT PIERCY: Yeah, you said it best. I hit one squirrelly shot on 3, I hit it right and it ended up in the hazard and got it up and down like 150. But other than that, I mean, 17 and 15, like horseshoe ones, but I hit good iron shots and hit some really good putts.
Q. We've talked a lot this week before the tournament started how this golf course doesn't necessarily favor a certain type of player, you've just got to do all things well and just stay sharp. Do you feel the same way, that that's just the recipe out there and just keep taking care of the little things and it will work itself out?
SCOTT PIERCY: Not really, I think you have to drive it well and then I think you have to be a good, call it a wedge player like inside 150.
Q. Scoring clubs?
SCOTT PIERCY: Yeah, the scoring clubs. So if you drive it well, and some guys are really good from like 175 to 200 and I happen to be good from 150 and in. So driving it well and it kind of plays into my strong suit, make a couple putts and here we are.
