Q. Camilo, you made a great effort today. Take us through your day.
CAMILO VILLEGAS: Yeah, obviously got off to a great start, that was the plan. Then I went a little cold in the middle of the round, missed a couple putts, a little tentative with the putter, but that's normal under these circumstances. I haven't been in this position in a long time.
But it was great. Overall I felt great. I've been doing some good work off the golf course both swing and mental and it paid off. Very nice to make some birdies coming in, finishing strong, tied for second.
If you think about it, I mean, Erik just shot 28 on the back. He played his last nine holes, I think it was 8 under the last nine holes, nine or 10 holes. That's pretty impressive. And the putt on the last to close it out. I was kind of hoping he gave me a chance. But hey, I'm proud of the way I battled today, I'm proud of the way I played all week and I'm proud of just the time and work I've been putting into the game.
Q. Take us through those last two holes, a birdie-birdie finish, you had a good chance at eagle at the last.
CAMILO VILLEGAS: I did. I hit a great second shot. Erik hit a great second shot, too. I was happy he was going to give me a read. Like I said, I was just hoping he'd give me a chance, but he rolled it down the middle, it was a perfect putt he hit. I hit a good putt, just broke a little at the end. Putt on 17 was big, kind of gave me a chance, I guess.
That's the way golf goes. Overall it was a very positive week, a lot of good. I'll look back into it and yeah, not much negative, to be honest.
Q. Looking into the future, building on this?
CAMILO VILLEGAS: Absolutely, yeah. the interesting thing with golf is that come next Thursday we start from zero again. You take this performance, you analyze them, try to take the good stuff, learn from it and keep plugging. Like I said, come next Thursday we all start from zero, it's in a week.
Q. You have to be really proud of your performance this week.
CAMILO VILLEGAS: I am, absolutely. A lot of positives this week. Man, it's been a long few years, a lot of work. This year has been a grind just technically working with my new instructor, working with a new mental coach and getting a little bit older.
But I don't want to stop playing, man. I love playing. You never know, you never know. You keep waiting for the results to come and you keep grinding and you keep grinding.
And obviously this week was a special one. To do it here in Mexico at the World Wide Technologies tournament that I really enjoy, I really like, good energy, good crowds, good people, good title sponsor, new venue, great venue. You know what, I've got no regrets this week, it was a good effort.
Q. You had so many great birdies out there, but I look back at one of the great pars that I saw at the 14th hole.
CAMILO VILLEGAS: Yeah, that was my one tee shot that I hit in the crap this week. Man, one of the NBC guys there found my ball. I wanted to give him a hug, man. I got lucky, I had two club lengths, took a nice drop and made an unbelievable putt for par.
Q. Top-10 finish means that you are exempt into Butterfield Bermuda. Will we see you on the islands, maybe another two tournaments and maybe a Top-125 this year? You've certainly positioned yourself.
CAMILO VILLEGAS: Yeah, I don't know where that puts me. Obviously I haven't played much this year here, but we'll see what happens, man. One at a time. Like I said, next Thursday we start from zero again.
