Q. What will you take away from this week overall?
JOEL DAHMEN: I love Cabo, it's a great spot. I am still pretty good at golf. I've obviously struggled this year and months of last as well, but the game's in there. I was really close this week, I had a blow-up hole on the first day, came back from that nicely and made a bunch of putts. It would have been great to make a few more today obviously, but yeah, I'm still good at golf and it's right there.
Q. Is there a specific moment you'll remember from this week?
JOEL DAHMEN: I mean, I hit a chip shot about a foot here on 18 at the last, I hope that's on camera somewhere. I would say rebounding from my quad on the fourth hole of the week. I think in times past maybe I wouldn't rebound as well as I did and to shoot under par with that the first day was great. Yeah, I'm going to take a lot of positives from this.
Q. Why do you think you were be able to rebound so well?
JOEL DAHMEN: Well, it helps when I birdie the first three holes, so I was only one over par through four with a quad, which is good.
Yeah, I haven't been in this position for a long time. I don't know where I am on the FedExCup, 120th or something. That matters a lot. I want to keep my job out here. I have my -- my story is not finished, so I would like to play a lot more golf. Two more weeks. This helps a lot obviously, but two more weeks to keep moving up.
Q. How conscious are you of your spot on the FedExCup Fall standings and does the tension increase as the season nears its end?
JOEL DAHMEN: Yeah, like I said, I've been lucky enough for the past six or seven years I don't have to worry about it, but it's a different type of pressure. I knew I wasn't going to win the golf tournament today, but you feel like you're kind of in contention. It matters a lot. You can't hide from it, it's there. I know that Geno's doing a great job about just going about our business. My wife is amazing about pretending everything is OK. And everything is OK. It's not like it's the end of the world, but I want to play good golf and I want to be out here on the PGA TOUR.
Q. What would it mean for you to finish inside the Top-125?
JOEL DAHMEN: I think it would mean more this year, just the grind that it's been. Golf has been relatively easy for me for five years. Haven't really been in this position before. It would mean a lot. It's really hard to keep grinding when things aren't going your way. Like I said, there's a lot of pressure this week, the next two coming up, it's a lot. Finishing 30th might be good enough type thing. That's almost harder than when you're in contention. Yeah, it would mean the world.
