Q. Congratulations, now a twotime winner on the PGA TOUR. Other than the nerve tester on 18, it seemed like you were in control all day. How were you able to get it done?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: Oh, man, that's probably some of the best golf I've ever played, just from the start putts were going in. I don't know, it was automatic out there today I guess is how you could call it. It's crazy I only won by one shooting 9 under par today from one back. Obviously everybody was playing well, it was a good battle.
Q. An incredible season for you, you locked up the top 50 status in the FedExCup standings. You had another win earlier this season. How does this goal now cap off what's been a really special season?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: Yeah, I think it kind of validates the season that I had, just a great way to cap off and end the year. Yeah, it was really special to do it at an event where the title sponsors, I'm an ambassador of their company. A cool week.
Q. You talked about goals earlier in the week. You've achieved a lot of them this year, so clean slate now as you look to 2025. What do the goals look like/
AUSTIN ECKROAT: Mostly the same, a win on the PGA TOUR, making it to East Lake and obviously with the Ryder Cup at the end of next season, that's definitely going to be on the top of the list.
Q. And standing right over your shoulder over there is Sally, an incredible human being that I know supports you every step of the way. How important is she to your journey?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: She's incredible. She comes nine out of 10 weeks. This is a lonely job and to have her out here every week means a lot. She walks 72 holes every week. Well, when I make the cut, 72 holes. 72 holes every week and it's special to have that.
Q. (In progress) the collegiate event, now you come back here, win your second PGA TOUR event. I think it's time to buy a house down here, what do you think?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: I don't know, but there's something about this place, I guess. It's funny, before I won in Palm Beaches earlier this year, that was my last win was in Cabo, so it had been five years between wins. Hopefully it means it's going to happen winning in Cabo. Awesome week.
Q. Brilliant iron play today. I was with you for all 18 holes, I thought the shot you hit into 4 was a response to what happened on 3. Then the way you handled the situation on 14, there was a lot running through your head there. I thought those were two very key points in your round. Do you agree?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: For sure the one on 4 and the one on 14 was just an uncomfortable shot. It wasn't a very difficult shot, but it's one you don't practice very often with a 9iron out from under a tree from sand. It wasn't difficult, it was just a little nervy. To hit it four feet was pretty special.
Q. You're no of more than half a dozen twotime winners on the PGA TOUR this season. So Austin Eckroat gets to put his name up there with names like Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler. How does that sound to you? Describe how that feels when I put your name in that line?
AUSTIN ECKROAT: I've got a little work to do to really be at the same level, but it's pretty special. As you say, half a dozen guys won twice this season, so that's a great achievement.
