Q. Martin, can you talk a little bit about your round today out there?
MARTIN LAIRD: Yeah. I played nice. Got off to a really good start, I think birdied the first two and then maybe 3 under through five or six. Was playing really nice. The wind our first nine was a little breezy, but nothing super strong. Then it picked up on the back nine. Birdied 10 to go to 4 under and then unfortunately didn't make any more birdies coming in, but played nice still.
There's a couple holes on that back nine, 15, 16 are potential disaster holes on this golf course. Managed to get through them with one bogey. As I said, happy. The only difference the back and the front nine really was I made a lot of putts on the front and I had a lot of lipouts on the back. Really happy with how I played. Besides a couple lipouts on the back nine, could have been better.
Q. Could you talk a little bit about how the wind affected your round today?
MARTIN LAIRD: Yeah. I mean, it's gusting pretty good right now. The last couple holes probably gusted 30 miles an hour there. It's not always the exact same direction, it's moving a little bit so that can make a huge difference if you go from straight right to left to down off the right. And I said to my caddie when we started on the front nine the front nine's lower, the back nine's all up on top of the hill. I said the back nine was going to be tricky because it's going to be a lot windier up there and I was right. It was really breezy those tough holes. Like I said 15, 16 right now, I don't have to go and play them again, let's just say that. The guys are going to have fun coming through there later.
Q. Can you talk about what you'll change going into tomorrow? Another windy day, but I don't think as windy.
MARTIN LAIRD: Not a lot. As I said, I played I hit it nice in the proam yesterday and kind of told my caddie we're just going to keep it simple. That's what I told him start of the week. I knew it was going to be breezy and this place has a lot of elevation change to it. Just keep it simple and hit golf shots instead of thinking golf swing because when you're out here in the wind, you have to do that. Like I said I was happy. Didn't push it too hard today but played nice. Hopefully can keep doing that.
