Q. Thank you so much for your time, 63, great day out there. Obviously the highlight, making the turn, you started on the back, finished on the front, took advantage of that first hole today.
ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, it was nice to make an eagle there. You kind of know when you start on the back that you have back-to-back pretty gettable par 5s. Yeah, it was good. Overall had a good day and just hopefully keep it going the next two.
Q. We were talking a little bit off mic, we were looking at a breeze out there, it felt comfortable but it's still aim and shoot, right? It wasn't enough breeze to really change the complexion at all, was it?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, definitely not. There was less today this morning than there was yesterday afternoon so definitely a little easier scoring conditions in the morning. Yeah, the course is very gettable and if you're hitting your irons well, then there's a lot of birdie opportunities.
Q. Well, you're playing well. This was your second best of the year I believe by one shot or maybe your best by one, 63, best by one, and you're trying to play in the Aon Next 10 into Pebble Beach, so nice push. What does one do though now with 36 in front in paradise, what do you do for the afternoon?
ERIC COLE: I think it's going to be a lot of relaxing. My wife's here with me this week, so I think we're just going to sit by the pool and take it easy. It's hot out here, so going to get rested and ready to go for the next two days.
Q. Before I say goodbye, can you let me in a little bit more deeper on Golf for Cops? Correct me if I'm wrong, the logo on your bag, is that an initiative for families that have lost someone in the line of duty? Do I have that accurate?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, that's correct, yeah. It's a national organization that raises money for families of police officers who have died in the line of duty. They have a golf tournament every year down in Jupiter and I'm super proud to be a part of it. We try and do what we can to raise money anything we can do to help them is something we're trying to do.
Q. Wonderful cause, super round. See you tomorrow.
ERIC COLE: Thank you.
Q. Erik, great round today, best round this season for you. Can you just talk through what was working out there today?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, it was a good day. I hit the ball well and had a lot of birdie opportunities. Definitely putter wasn't quite as cooperative as it was later in the round. I made a few putts, but yeah, no, ball-striking was really good and it felt relatively easy and simple, which is pretty nice with that score.
Q. Going off early today, did the weather conditions change at all? A little bit less wind?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, definitely a little less wind. There's not as much foot traffic on the greens so much more puttable and easier to make putts. Yeah, with the lack of wind, fairways are pretty wide, you're really just trying to get your irons as close to the pin as you can on every hole.
Q. Can you talk through that eagle on No. 1?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, no, it was good. You kind of know when you start on 10 that you have 18 and 1 are two pretty gettable par 5s. Hit a good shot on 18 and two-putted and then hit a pretty decent shot into 1 and made like maybe a 30-footer or 25-footer, so it's nice to see that go in.
Q. You're done for the day before lunch. What's the plan for the rest of the day?
ERIC COLE: Yeah, just relax. We're in beautiful Cabo, so just kind of take it easy. My wife's here this week so just sit by the pool a little bit and get rested for the next two days.
