Q. One round in, how are you feeling about your opening round?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, feeling pretty good. A lot of good putts going in, hit the ball pretty good. The wind was definitely getting a little bit more up there so made the scoring a little bit tougher. I'm happy with the way that I played.
Q. Just like you said, afternoon wave, a lot windier, but what's it like to start the day when you see Sami and Nick have already posted 11 under?
JOHNNY KEEFER: I mean, I played on the Korn Ferry last year so I kind of understood that there's some low scores out there whenever you tee off sometimes in first round, so kind of took that same mentality and obviously wanted to go chase that. Didn't get to 11 under today but I gave it my best effort.
Q. And then changing subject completely, but Michael Brennan winning two weeks ago, thoughts? Were you watching his win at all?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah. Mike's a good friend of mine, play in the same fantasy football league together, played in a practice round this week. It was great seeing him win. It gives us a lot of confidence between Americas guys and Korn Ferry guys coming out to the PGA TOUR and competing right away like he did is definitely confidence building. I mean, it couldn't happen to a better person.
Q. In this fantasy league, is this a players one?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, yeah. There's a few of the Americas guys we play with, a few of the Korn Ferry players. Yeah, I did get the best of Mike last time we played, but we'll see how it goes.
Q. Who's leading the league right now?
JOHNNY KEEFER: I'm pretty close. I think Connor Creasy is. He's an Americas tour player and good guy as well.
Q. A lot to still play for here in the fall, but also what's the motivation to keep within the top-50 for Masters before the end of the year?
JOHNNY KEEFER: Yeah, that is the motivation. Playing with that under your belt to start the season is definitely something that I would like to have, but at the end of the day, at the end of the week I'm going to understand that I tried my best even if I get it or don't. Just try to come out here, compete, kind of get my feet wet out here. Yeah, just if I make it, I make it and if not, I have a little bit more time to go improve myself.
