Q. Great round, 65. I thought you did a really good job, I picked you up on the back nine, your iron play, correct side of the hole all day, happened on 15, happened on 16, again on 17. Nice day. Was that a key today, was it the irons?
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah. Obviously no wind, so good scoring conditions. The iron play was definitely critical.
Q. Yeah, 12 of 14 fairways, obviously we're going to talk about that a lot this week, how easy the fairways are, but if you don't create the angles to some of these hole locations, especially today, that seems to be the difference from Friday to Thursday with some of these different hole locations, that you're putting it in the fairway. Putting it on the wrong side was a problem for the field, wasn't a problem for you.
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah, I think in the morning obviously with no wind and softer conditions I think you may get away with it a little bit more, but might get a little bit trickier in the afternoon. It will be interesting to see.
Q. I thought that third at 18 was just not a quality location to give yourself options. I said I don't know what you do from there. Were you stuck indecision? I mean, the bunker was cutting you off from the hole location. The sideboard really isn't usable. What was the thought process on the third at 18?
VICTOR PEREZ: I was just trying to hit it on the green and two-putt. Obviously I left it a bit short and had to deal with the slope, so just not the right place to be on the hole to be honest.
Q. Can I ask you a personal jealous question? I need to get some advice.
VICTOR PEREZ: Sure.
Q. Southwest France, right? For someone who likes Bordeaux but doesn't like the price tag, something else in the region with some value that I should be looking for for the cellar at home that you don't put too much on the credit card?
VICTOR PEREZ: I'm not sure. Yeah, there's definitely some good options. You'll find your way around.
Q. Obviously not how you wanted to end the round, but can you talk through the rest of the day?
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah, it was good. I think I hit the ball really well, made a few putts. Obviously very happy with the second round.
Q. Can you talk about the conditions out there?
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah. Obviously it was like really, really nice for about 13, 12, 13 holes and then there was a little bit of wind but nothing too strong to affect us. It was softer conditions. I would say easier than yesterday so I was happy to take advantage of it.
Q. Can you talk through your thought process on 18 and kind of just what happened there?
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah, I think you try to keep that second shot like kind of short and right to give yourself an angle for the pitch. I think there's a lot of holes where if you're on the wrong side it becomes really tricky to get the ball close. Once I was on the left side I was just trying to hit it on somewhere on the green really. I mean, I was hoping a little closer and then twoputt, which I wasn't able to do. It's unfortunate but it happens.
Q. And you're right outside the top100 in the FedExCup Fall. Is that something you've been thinking about this week or just out of sight, out of mind?
VICTOR PEREZ: Yeah, obviously you think about it but at the same time it's not going to help you. You have to go out and play the best you can, try to give yourself as many chances with the next three rounds and see where it takes you.
