Q. Bogey free heading into the weekend, how are you feeling?
MATTI SCHMID: Yeah, good. I mean, today I would say drove it even better than yesterday. Yeah, I don't think I chipped today, so yeah, I must have hit that many greens. I kept life pretty stress free out there today.
Q. What's the key to navigating around this course, especially when it's windy and a lot of scoring opportunities out there?
MATTI SCHMID: Yeah, you still have to pick your spots, especially greens are pretty big and very undulated so you have to hit the right sections so you can give yourself good looks for birdie. Feel like I did that today. Yeah, rolled some putts in, too.
Q. You just talked about preparation was a little bit different entering this week, you were under the weather. What were you sick with or how did that change kind of what you would normally do?
MATTI SCHMID: Me and my girlfriend, we stayed in Japan for another week and after that, I don't know, was a bit drained, I guess. A bit sick, but I feel a lot better now, I feel fresh and kind of short but good preparation I feel like. Yeah, excited for the weekend.
Q. You've had a good season, four top10s, a runnerup finish. What's the push to be getting into those Signature Events for the following year?
MATTI SCHMID: Yeah, obviously this would be huge, we all know how big those are and the added points you can earn in those, and also I want to play the best courses against the best players, so that's a big goal for me.
Q. You've given yourself the opportunity to potentially get into that Aon Next 10 to get into the Signature Events at the start of next season. How much is that an area of focus for you?
MATTI SCHMID: Obviously that was the goal for the fall season, to get one of those 10 spots. I know you need to have a really good week and hopefully this is mine.
Q. Now, on 18 you made a great putt, big bender for eagle. Why don't you take us through that?
MATTI SCHMID: Yeah, it was a really tricky putt, I had to kind of putt it up the ridge and let it come down. I hit it kind of too hard but the bag was in the way, got a little lucky, but that's part of it.
Q. You need a little luck out here. How would you describe the conditions of the golf course through two days?
MATTI SCHMID: Yeah, obviously usually we have a lot more wind here. Every time I've been here there was more wind than what we had so far. Yeah, guys taking advantage of it. You can get a close and hole some putts out here now.
