Q. Out early in the morning, first time you're seeing this course on Tour, what did you like about your round?
JUSTIN SUH: The key to like going low I thought today, what worked well was just keep it in the fairway. These fairways are pretty wide, so I thought just picking a good line off the tees was critical. I hit all the greens besides my last two and made two bogeys, so that wasn't the best way to finish a round, but still overall pretty satisfied.
Q. Friends with Taylor Montgomery, Mr. Diamante. Did he give you any advice?
JUSTIN SUH: No, no, I only saw him probably once on Tuesday and then we didn't talk much about the golf course. Everything was just fresh, everything we learned on Tuesday and Wednesday, so it was an awesome golf course to play on. Obviously we didn't have too much wind in the morning, which definitely made it a lot easier to attack some pins, but overall looking forward to tomorrow.
Q. Coming off a good week from ZOZO, what were some of the big kind of takeaways playing in that final grouping?
JUSTIN SUH: I mean, I've been playing well over the last couple months. I feel like my lines are very accurate. I think overall if that's feeling good, then my game's pretty sharp. I think just staying focused on those, staying focused on trying to make putts out here. Obviously got to make some birdies, but yeah, game just feels good.
Q. What did you learn from not closing the deal on a Sunday at ZOZO?
JUSTIN SUH: I mean, I wasn't too far off, I just hit it poorly on that Sunday round. There's a couple really bad iron shots on the par 3s, didn't make a few up-and-downs and put myself in some really tough spots. Overall I thought the game plan that I had was good, I just wasn't executing shots and it just happens, it's one of those days.
Q. What do you see is at stake for you during this portion of the fall right now?
JUSTIN SUH: Obviously it would be great to get inside that top 60, those get you into the first two designated events. Overall, I mean, I haven't thought much about it. I think every week you come into an event just trying to play your best, trying to win a tournament and everything kind of takes care of itself.
Q. Can you take me through a couple of the highlights today, best birdies, what really worked?
JUSTIN SUH: I mean, it was a very smooth, almost boring round. I was hitting a lot of fairways, a lot of greens and just made some critical putts for birdie. The par 5s overall I thought I played great. I hit everything to where I wanted it for like a good two-putt birdie chance on the reachable par 5s, and hit a close one on the last one. I don't think anything really sticks out. I think it was an overall like a solid good ball-striking and good putting round, which gets low scores.
Q. Did it feel like what you expected a Tiger Woods course to be like?
JUSTIN SUH: Yeah, very. Kind of like what he describes is how he plays his golf game. You have to be pretty aware of your approach shots. He says overall he plays pretty aggressively, but pretty conservative on his lines and that's kind of what we did today just trying to give ourselves some chances of making some lag putts. Or if it's, you know, kind of producing a good shot and you get a little lucky with the hill, you'll get a close birdie putt. Overall I think you have to be pretty cautious of your approach shot and where you want to leave it.
