Q. Bogey-free 64, how would you assess your round for the second round?
CARSON YOUNG: Just a really solid round. Didn't do anything bad. Honestly, I feel like I hit it better yesterday, but today I made quite a few more putts and a few big par putts that really kept my round going.
Q. Scorable course, what's the key to navigating it around?
CARSON YOUNG: Really, finding the fairways is key, but it's pretty big fairways. Just having the right angle into the greens. Especially some of these greens are so undulated, just hitting them to the right spots of the greens and leaving yourself a good chance at birdie. Almost seems like a putting contest out here if you're hitting it well.
Q. What motivation are you taking into the weekend? Where are you feeling most comfortable in your game?
CARSON YOUNG: My iron and wedge play feels really good right now. Driving the ball seems OK, but that's fine out here. Really, if I just stay hot with the putter, I feel like I'm going to be in a great spot come Sunday.
Yeah, there's something about coming south of the border, seems like I always play well when it's hot and kind of near the equator. Just happy to be here.
Q. Do you have any plans for this afternoon?
CARSON YOUNG: Just go lay down and just hydrate. I'm hot and tired. It was an early morning.
